Captains Log Stardate 54.. um 636.2 - The crew are taking shore leave, but this time we've kept shoreleave restricted to the ships. This way I'm hoping there will be no disasters. Anyway Tom has decided to give some crewmembers, including the kids swimming lessons, so much for no disasters.
Tom walked in to find a small group of people in the large indoor pool he programmed. He looked around to see if everyone he invited was there, one was missing.
Tom thought, "of course Jess won't come."
Suddenly he felt somebody's hands pulling on his ankles. He fell straight into the pool. He heard Lena laughing as he rose to the surface. She splashed water in his eyes. He rubbed his eyes roughly.
"Lena, are you actually here to learn today?" Tom asked.
"Learn? What does that mean?" Lena asked. She splashed him again. Duncan floated over in a ring and he splashed him too.
"Duncan, don't do that!" Tom yelled as he rubbed his eyes again.
"Why?" Duncan giggled.
"Duncan, what's that?" Lena asked.
"Uh, what's what?" Duncan replied, trying to sound innocent. He tried to hide a small bottle behind his back. Tom snatched it off him.
"Where did you get this Cherry Coke from?" Tom asked.
"Dad," Duncan replied.
"Why am I not surprised?" Tom muttered.
Everyone heard the holodeck doors open, everyone turned to see who came in.
Tom thought, "I wish I had a camera."
Lena thought, "I wish I had a sick bucket."
Duncan thought, "Cherry Coke!"
Doctor Jones was heading towards the pool wearing swimming trunks, striped ones that is. He also had the biggest grin on his face. Tom climbed out of the pool and he went over to him.
"What do you want, Doc?" Tom asked.
"I've come to join your class," Doctor Jones replied.
"Please tell me you're joking," Tom moaned.
"No, why would I?" Doctor Jones said.
"Oh geez," Tom groaned.
"If you must know I was hoping to see James or Jessie. Jessie hasn't been to Sickbay since the operation," Doctor Jones said.
"That was nearly two months ago wasn't it? She hasn't really been out of her quarters that much according to James. A lot of rumours have been going around," Tom said.
"What kind of rumours?" Doctor Jones asked nervously.
"Emma saw her once. According to her she was really fat. The rumour is that she's got twins," Tom replied.
"Oh dear god, that is a stupid rumour. There's definitely only one," Doctor Jones said.
"How do you know, you haven't seen her in two months," Tom said evilly.
"Don't be stupid Tom," Doctor Jones muttered.
"The others aren't really rumours, the rest are just insults and names for her. The kids have been calling her Fattie Jessie," Tom said. Duncan floated over with another bottle of Cherry Coke.
"It wasn't me, it was Kyle. I beat him up for mum," Duncan said. Kyle glanced over and he passed Duncan a really evil glare.
"Duncan, you really shouldn't be hyper in the pool," Doctor Jones said. He snatched the bottle off Duncan. He looked up at him with a pouty expression on his face. He then started crying.
"So that's where James from Season One went too," Tom joked.
"Uh huh," Doctor Jones muttered.
The holodeck doors opened again, this time just Tom and Doctor Jones looked to see who came in. "Speak of the devil," Tom said.
"Are you calling me a devil?" James asked.
"Nah, you're not Damien's dad. Or are you?" Tom replied jokingly.
James rolled his eyes, "don't insult me like that. I can't be bothered to hit anyone."
"All right, I can tell you about the rumour then," Tom said. Doctor Jones stepped in front of him quickly.
"Tom teach your class, I need to talk to Mr Stuart alone," Doctor Jones said.
Tom groaned, he went back into the pool. "Come on Dunc."
Duncan followed him, he started hiccuping really loudly, "why, hic!" Tom pulled him into the pool gently.
"Jessie really needs to get to Sickbay. She only has two weeks to go, and you know what usually happens in space... early labour," Doctor Jones said.
"She doesn't want to be seen," James said.
"I'll beam her to Sickbay then," Doctor Jones said.
"People come in and out of Sickbay all the time, I don't think she'll like that. Can't you give her a house call?" James asked.
"She can't give birth in there, she'll have to be in Sickbay," Doctor Jones replied.
"I've told her that, she just says 'don't remind me' each time," James said.
"She can't stay in those quarters anymore, people are making up rumours about her. More importantly it's not good for her health, pregnant or not," Doctor Jones said.
"You try and get her out of the quarters then, cos I bloody can't," James said angrily.
"I'll just have to beam her to Sickbay later. I am not looking forward to that," Doctor Jones said.
"That doesn't have anything to do with her temper being ten times worse than normal, does it?" James asked.
"Of course not... level ten forcefield or higher?" Doctor Jones replied questioningly.
"Higher," James replied.
Suddenly Doctor Jones disappeared and there was a splash, James looked around confused. He looked down and he saw Lena laughing nearby. Doctor Jones resurfaced not looking too happy.
Everyone felt the ground shaking, they looked around nervously. Some turned to the holodeck doors which had just opened. The Fat Man (tm) was heading towards the pool. He was wearing huge swimming trunks, but they still didn't fit him that well. He got ready to jump in.
Everyone quickly evacuated the holodeck. As soon as the Fat Man hit the water a tidal wave overtook the holodeck.
Lena and Triah were in their usual places, Tom was sitting in the first officers chair minding his own business for once. Emma was at tactical so nobody mustn't of noticed that she was there, Phoebe was sitting in the other chair near the command chairs.
"And that fat guy came in, it was gross," Phoebe said.
"Ugh, so glad I wasn't there," Emma muttered.
"Tell me about it," Lena said.
"Oh did you hear the rumour about Jessie?" Emma asked.
"Depends what rumour," Lena replied.
"I went to her quarters the other day to borrow something off her. She's really let herself go, she was huge," Emma said.
"Are you stupid or do you just have a bad memory? She's pregnant remember," Lena said.
Emma and Phoebe both looked shocked. "She is? I thought she died a few months back," Phoebe said.
"Now that's cool, but the pregnant thing isn't. It isn't James is it?" Emma asked.
"Uh huh, who else," Lena muttered in response.
"Eew, gross!" Emma moaned.
"Hey, that's my nephew you're talking about," Phoebe said.
"What? Who the hell are you?" Emma asked.
"Janeway's sister, duh," Phoebe replied.
"So how are you James' aunt then?" Emma asked, she held her head like she had a headache.
"Oh yeah, you don't know do you. Janeway's James' mum," Lena replied.
Emma pulled a disgusted face, "that's gross!"
"If you say so," Lena muttered.
"So that means that you and James are brother and sister," Emma giggled.
"Half brother and sister, we've got different dads," Lena said.
"That's good, I thought for a sec Chakotay was his dad too," Emma sniggered.
"Hahaha, I'd feel sorry for him if he was," Phoebe laughed. Lena glared at her.
"That's my dad you know," Lena muttered.
"I know, you poor girl," Phoebe said, trying to sound comforting.
"I just thought of something," Emma said, she giggled rudely. "You snogged your brother."
"SHUT UP!" Lena yelled. Her voice nearly blew Phoebe, Emma and Tom away.
"Eeew, Lena.. don't you have any restraints. I know he's good looking but.." Phoebe said.
"Are we talking about the same guy here?" Tom asked. The girls ignored him.
"It was her fault!" Lena yelled, while pointing at Emma.
Emma tried to look innocent. "I was thinking of Harry, no excuse for you to just jump onto James."
"Lena!" Phoebe scolded.
"We were connected together by.." Lena said. Emma's eyes widened and she pulled a rude face. "Not with him, idiot. You and me were connected because you stole my nanoprobes. Your instinct to kiss Harry made me want to kiss the nearest guy, which was at the time James."
"This family is way too screwed up," Phoebe muttered.
"Well if the rumour is true Duncan's going to have two sisters," Emma giggled.
"You what?" Lena said questioningly.
"Oh come on, when I saw Jessie she was huge. And I mean it, I told Harry and he guessed that it might be twins," Emma said.
"She's nine months, of course she's huge. There's only one," Lena said.
"Are you sure, she was big," Emma said.
"I'm sure, in a few weeks you'll see," Lena said.
Doctor Jones was standing facing Kathryn's desk. She was as usual drinking coffee. "I'm so glad I heard that rumour off you, Doctor."
"We've still got a problem Captain, she's due in two weeks but she won't leave her quarters," Doctor Jones said.
"I'm sure when the time calls she'll call you," Kathryn said while staring at her coffee cup.
"Jessie is one of those really annoying girls who are obsessed with their looks. She's worried about what people will think if they see how big she is," Doctor Jones said.
"She hasn't got a choice," Kathryn muttered, getting a little bit angry.
"In the mean time she has to get out of those quarters and meet other woman that are pregnant. They may be able to help her through," Doctor Jones said.
"Uh huh," Kathryn muttered.
"I'm thinking that maybe she can go to Cargo Bay Two for a girls get together," Doctor Jones said.
"Yes.. I agree with whatever you're talking about," Kathryn said as she started to shake.
"I guess getting Jessie to the Cargo Bay will be quite simple," Doctor Jones said.
"Yes that's nice, I have work to do Doctor," Kathryn said angrily.
"Um.. ok Captain," Doctor Jones said. He left the room. Kathryn grabbed her coffee cup and she started drinking from it. She sighed happily.
"NO!" Jessie screamed.
"It'll be fun, all of your friends know already for goodness sake," Doctor Jones said.
"You told them, you b***ard!" Jessie yelled.
"Um, no.. you and James did. Remember 'Man out of You'?" Doctor Jones replied.
"I'm not going, give me one good reason why I should," Jessie said.
"If you don't I'll stay here with you until you go into labour," Doctor Jones said.
"Fine, you win," Jessie muttered.
Kathryn was sitting in her chair still, looking very hyper. She's hardly ever sober anymore is she? The door chimed. "Come in!" she yelled.
Chakotay came in, he placed a PADD on the desk looking rather nervous. Kathryn suddenly jumped onto her feet. "Hiya Chakotay!"
"Erm, hi," Chakotay said nervously.
"What ya doing tonight?" Kathryn asked in a flirty voice.
Chakotay looked half puzzled and half worried, "nothing, why?"
"Do you want to have dinner in my quarters? It'll be just like old times," Kathryn replied.
"Um.. that sounds good but ask me later when you're sober," Chakotay said. He rushed out of the room.
"Are you going to the girls night in tonight? Lena told me about it," Tani asked. Triah wasn't listening.
"What, did you say something?" she asked.
"Are you coming to the girls night in tonight?" Tani asked.
"Yeah sure, but if it sucks I'll be outta there so fast," Triah replied.
Kiara, Naomi and Bryan came over to the table. "Hey, do you wanna hear what I heard from Harry?" Bryan asked. Kiara elbowed him hard in the arm. "They'll find out eventually," he moaned.
"Yeah, she's engaged to my James," Tani groaned.
"Tani get over him, he doesn't like you. It doesn't mean he's yours," Triah said.
Tani banged her fists off the table, "I deserve him!"
"Then you won't like this, Jessie's pregnant with twins," Bryan sniggered.
"It's just a rumour," Naomi said quietly.
"What? That dirty slut! Who was I kidding a while back, I hate her," Tani said angrily.
"Tan, they're engaged.. doesn't that mean anything to you?" Kiara asked.
"No," Tani muttered.
"Are you still going to the night in?" Naomi asked.
"Not if that slut is," Tani replied.
"That is the whole point of the night in," Kiara muttered.
"I'll go, but I'm not talking to her," Tani said.
"Who is going then?" Triah asked.
"Jessie, B'Elanna, Lena, Phoebe, Kiara, Naomi, you, and some people no one's ever seen before," Tani said.
"Sounds like fun already," Triah muttered.
Tom was close to headbutting the console. He thought, "will this kid ever stop!"
Duncan was jumping on the chair next to Lena's chair, holding a bottle of Cherry Coke. Emma was listening to headphones to block out the sound of Duncan at opps. Lena was sitting in her chair reading a PADD. Craig was at Tactical playing on a Game Boy. James was sitting on the other chair secretly drinking vodka.
"Duncan, pack it in!" Tom yelled.
"Why?" Duncan asked.
"You're doing my head in!" Tom yelled.
"Why?" Duncan asked.
"Because you are being annoying," Tom said angrily.
"Why?" Duncan asked.
"That's what I want to know," Tom muttered before hitting his head off the console.
"Oh s***! That was my last pokéball!" Craig yelled.
Tom groaned, he went over to James. "Please do something about your kid."
"Why?" James asked. Tom groaned and he rolled his eyes.
"Like father like son, just make him stop," Tom moaned.
"Why, is he annoying you?" James asked.
"Of course he is," Tom replied angrily.
"Ok," James said.
Tom stared at him for a few seconds before storming back to his console. He stopped in horror, "oh god, there's going to be two soon." He continued to headbutt the console.
Duncan stopped jumping on the chair when he saw a flask of coffee on the small console behind him. He picked it up but it was too hot so he threw it. It hit Craig on the head, a lot of the coffee was spilt all over him. "Ow, that bloody hurt!"
Kathryn chose that moment to walk in, "Lena, have you seen my coffee flask honey?"
"Ohno," Lena muttered.
Kathryn's face turned red in anger, her eyes widened and you could almost see the smoke coming from her ears. "Why is my coffee all over you, Craig?"
"I dunno, I was innocently playing on my Game... er innocently working when this hit me over the head," Craig replied.
"Hehehe," Duncan laughed.
Kathryn stared angrily at Duncan, then at James who was trying to look innocent even with the vodka bottle in his hand. "James, Duncan, in my office now!"
"Why?" Duncan asked.
"What did I do?" James asked.
"The Conference Room ... NOW!" Kathryn yelled, her voice sounding like the devil's. She stormed into the Conference Room. Scared, Duncan and James followed her.
"Finally peace at last," Tom said.
Kiara walked onto the Bridge looking a bit hyper, "hi mum!" She clicked her fingers and a disco started.
"Kiara, are you insane?" Lena asked.
"No," Kiara replied. She laughed at Craig, "what happened to you?"
"Duncan spilt it over him, that's why you shouldn't of started this disco," Tom replied.
"I really don't see a connection," Kiara muttered. Everyone saw Kathryn staring at Kiara with her hands on her hips. She was fuming in rage. Kiara clicked her fingers to get rid of the disco.
"Conference Room, now!" Kathryn yelled in her best demon voice.
James, Kiara and Duncan were facing Kathryn as she stood on the other side of the table. She went over to the replicator, she ordered some coffee. Instead she got tea. She tried it, she lost her temper again and threw it onto the floor.
"Kiara, you're grounded for two weeks! Out!" Kathryn yelled.
Kiara groaned and she left the room. "What was the point of that, stupid old cow," she muttered under her breath.
"How dare you spill my coffee on the worthless piece of crap that hurt my daughter ages ago! You are banned from drinking Cherry Coke for one whole month! Now get out of my sight!" Kathryn yelled. Duncan, still looking really scared, ran out of the room.
"And you, you were drinking on the Bridge in front of your son! You'll be working on night shifts on Voyager for a month!" Kathryn yelled.
"Can't I do that punishment in a few months, Jessie's expecting soon," James asked.
"Oh for... I don't care anymore. You should have thought of that before you started drinking. You're banned from alcohol for two weeks. Get out of my sight!" Kathryn yelled.
of Part I
"Why won't you go away?" Jessie moaned. She slowly sat down on the sofa.
"You need to go to Sickbay," Doctor Jones replied.
"You need to stop being a dumb a**, somebody will see me and they'll laugh," Jessie said.
"Is that the only reason?" Doctor Jones asked. Jessie just pouted. "I'll beam you to Sickbay if that's the only reason."
"I'll see you after the night in, ok!" Jessie snapped.
"It's better than nothing," Doctor Jones muttered. He walked out of the room as James came in.
"What did he want?" James asked.
"He wants me to go to Sickbay tomorrow. Why are you here so early?" Jessie replied questioningly.
"Janeway sent me to bed without any supper," James replied.
"What, really?" Jessie asked.
"Not exactly, I have to go on night shifts for a whole month. Plus I'm not allowed to drink alcohol for two weeks," James replied.
"Great... what has the crew got against us. I mean I was bribed into a girls night in tonight," Jessie muttered.
"That's not that bad, I think mine's worse," James said.
Jessie shook her head, "well if I didn't agree to go I would of had Doctor Jones here all night and day until I went into labour. I'm hoping that isn't going to be long."
"Doc says it's only two weeks," James said.
"Only two weeks! Oh god.." Jessie groaned.
The door chimed, Jessie's eyes widened as a result. "Oh god, help me up." James helped her to her feet, as soon as she was up she rushed into one of the bedrooms. James then went over to the door. Craig and Lena were there.
"Hi, Lena's just told me about the girls night in. Want any help getting Jessie out of the door?" Craig sniggered. Lena elbowed him really hard. "I kid, I kid."
"I heard that!" Jessie yelled.
Craig swallowed a lump in his throat, "uhoh."
"What are you here for?" James asked.
"I'm just tagging along with Lena," Craig replied.
"He's stalking me," Lena joked as she came into the room.
"Nah, I wouldn't do that," Craig said.
"Yeah, I believe you," James said.
"Seriously though, what are you doing tonight? Some of the guys are going to the night shift at about 2100 hours to do something to Janeway's Ready Room. It's something to do," Craig asked.
"I'll be there already, I've been punished with the night shift," James replied.
"Oh well, I'll see ya then," Craig said.
"Tell me, what's going to happen to her Ready Room?" Lena asked.
"I don't know, it was Ian's idea," Craig replied.
"Well if I'm not dead at 2100 I'll join in," James said.
"You're not allowed to die yet, mister!" Jessie yelled, still from the other room.
"Yeah, so I've heard," James muttered.
"Sooo, is it two you'll have in a few weeks, or three?" Craig asked.
"You what? It's two of course," James replied, sounding rather confused.
"Don't listen to him, there's a rumour going around. People think that Jessie's going to have twins," Lena said.
"I didn't hear that!" Jessie yelled.
"I wish that was true," Lena muttered.
"Bloody hell, why do people think that?" James asked.
"God knows, anyway we'd better go. I only came here to tell Jessie that B'Elanna wants to visit in half an hour," Lena replied. She and Craig headed back towards the door.
Jessie looked through the bedroom door, she saw them both leaving. She then came back into the main room. "Twins?"
"Hmm, yeah.. that would be worrying," James muttered.
Chakotay and Harry were in the middle of an argument while Emma was sitting at the helm spinning on the chair.
"So? It is clinically insane!" Harry yelled.
"So is Emma, I don't see you wanting to get rid of her," Chakotay said calmly. He looked at the PADD he had in his hand briefly.
Emma fell off the chair, "owie. Stupid chair." She climbed back onto the chair, she started spinning it again.
"Emma's human, Wobbuffet is a blue blob!" Harry yelled.
"Which is a living creature also. It's been around for over half a year, why are you complaining now?" Chakotay asked.
"Because.. because it keeps going in my quarters," Harry replied, blushing slightly.
Ian looked up, he laughed slightly. "I heard about that. Emma told me it came into your quarters and it tried to seperate the two of you. It seems to think that anyone standing close together are couples who are going to kiss."
"It's a very good thing that wasn't going to happen then," Harry said, blushing even more.
"Oh my god, Harry..." Chakotay muttered.
"What?" Harry said questioningly.
"You and Emma nearly.." Chakotay said.
"So, at least I don't love Janeway," Harry said quickly. Ian sniggered.
"I don't love Janeway! Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to give her this complaint of yours," Chakotay said angrily as he waved the PADD in his hand around. He stormed over to the Ready Room.
Kathryn was once again at her desk, crying against it. Chakotay came into the room still looking angry, he took one look at Kathryn and he calmed down instantly. He went over to her.
"Chakotay, it's not fair.. it's so not fair," Kathryn cried.
"What's not fair?" Chakotay asked.
"Everything. Duncan spilt my coffee, I accidentally replicated tea, but that's the least of my troubles. All of that has made me realise how unlucky I am," Kathryn replied.
"Kathryn, don't talk like that. I tell you what, we can have dinner in my quarters tonight. That may cheer you up," Chakotay said.
Kathryn finally looked up at him, "thanks Chakotay. You're a good friend."
Chakotay smiled, he put the PADD he had on the table. "This is from Harry, by the way. See you tonight at 1900?"
"That's fine, see you then," Kathryn replied. Chakotay left the room.
B'Elanna walked in, she looked around. "James, where's Jessie?"
James just pointed at one of the bedroom doors, "in there, she's always there when people visit."
"Didn't Lena tell her that I was coming?" B'Elanna asked.
"She did, she's probably just paranoid which isn't good," James replied.
"Well I've got something that may cheer her up, can I go?" B'Elanna asked as she raised a PADD into view.
"Sure, just don't mention the twin rumour," James replied.
B'Elanna's eyes widened, "I haven't heard that one... that means Tom didn't make it up. That's a first, oh well." She went into the bedroom. Jessie was sitting on the bed listening to headphones. She spotted B'Elanna and she took out her headphones.
"Oh, didn't hear you come in," Jessie said.
"You must of cos James said you only come in here when people visit," B'Elanna said.
"All right, I lied.." Jessie said.
"Hopefully you won't have to worry about hiding for long, I have something for you," B'Elanna said. She handed the PADD to Jessie.
"What is it?" Jessie asked.
"I got it from the database, it's only for woman overdue but I know that the last few weeks are the ones that last the longest. It's tips on how to get into labour," B'Elanna replied.
"Is it safe to now?" Jessie asked.
"I had Duncan after a few months, remember... he came about seven months but he survived. I'm overdue so I had to get this," B'Elanna replied.
"But you're only six months," Jessie said.
"Yeah but in this series Klingons are only pregnant for six months, not nine. The writers aren't really sure if they can get away with it, but they're trying anyway," B'Elanna said.
"Ok, have you tried any of these tips?" Jessie asked.
"An odd few. I'd avoid number 3 and 6, they seemed to the best ones to start off with but as you can see they didn't work," B'Elanna replied.
"Why don't you just use the one that seems the most likely to work first?" Jessie asked.
B'Elanna sighed, "go to number 11, you'll see why I'm going to have trouble doing that one."
Jessie looked down the list, her eyes widened when she read it. "Oh.. have you asked Tom about that?"
"No.. that's the problem. I don't really want to hurt him when he says no to me, that's why I don't want to ask him," B'Elanna replied.
"What makes you think he'll say no to you?" Jessie asked.
"Just think about it Jess, will James help you with that one?" B'Elanna replied.
"Probably not, but James and Tom are very different," Jessie said.
"True, but they have a lot in common too. They'll try to tell us that it's not about the size of us, it's because they're worried about hurting the baby. But we'll know that that's a big lie," B'Elanna said.
"I take it Tom's said that to you before," Jessie said.
"You take it right, I'm guessing James'll do the same if you ask him to help you with that tip," B'Elanna said.
"He will, I'm not sure how many people know about this but I was three months pregnant when we had to perform that ceremony at H'Taria.." Jessie said.
"Erm, ok," B'Elanna muttered.
"The Cherry Coke virus was responsible for that one, ok. The point is he tried to make excuses to get out of the final ritual," Jessie quickly said.
"So how did you get him to change his mind?" B'Elanna asked.
"Long story, I'd rather not tell it," Jessie replied.
"I tell you what. I'll ask Tom about this if you ask James about it too," B'Elanna said.
"What, now?" Jessie asked.
"Why not.. if it works we'll get out of that stupid girls night in Doctor Jones organised," B'Elanna replied.
"I'm up for that," Jessie said.
"Great. I'll see you in Sickbay if it works, if not I'll see you in the Cargo Bay later," B'Elanna said. She left the room.
Jessie got up after she left, she went out of the room too. She joined James at the sofa. "So, what did she get you?" James asked. Jessie smiled and she handed him the PADD.
"Just some tips on how to get me into labour," Jessie replied.
James brought the PADD closer to him, then he turned his head slightly. "I don't see how eating chilli would make you go into labour. You're not going to do that are you?"
"No, I don't like chilli," Jessie replied.
"Has B'Elanna tried any of these?" James asked.
"Yeah.. she's going to try number 11," Jessie replied.
James' eyes widened as he read number 11. "I don't know who to feel sorry for there."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jessie asked.
"You know, I've heard a lot about Klingons when they you know.. they're supposed to be very aggressive. I've seen Tom in Sickbay because of that. She's probably going to be a lot more aggressive because she's pregnant," James replied.
"Oh, that's ok then," Jessie said.
"Oh well, you're not overdue. If you do get overdue, you'll have to try some of them," James said as he put the PADD onto the table.
"Um.. why not now?" Jessie asked.
"You're not overdue," James replied.
"I don't care, this is killing me," Jessie said.
"I guess it's only two weeks, it shouldn't hurt going into labour early," James said.
"Exactly. Which one should I do?" Jessie asked.
James shrugged, "any of them, just not number 11."
"Why not?" Jessie asked.
James' eyes widened, "why not? Are you crazy?"
Jessie narrowed her eyes, "am I too fat or something?"
"No, it's not that exactly," James replied nervously.
"Oh come on, you must admit.. at nine months it'll be a bit awkward," Jessie said.
"You said it, not me," James said nervously.
"Look this is getting ridiculous! I feel like I'm wasting away in these quarters, everyone else gets early labour but me! I want this kid out of me, I don't care how I do it!" Jessie snapped.
"You don't? You mean since I refused to do number 11, you'd do it with anyone?" James asked looking rather worried.
"What? No! I'm not a slut, so no! I knew what I meant! I don't know how long I can live with this kid inside me!" Jessie yelled.
"Calm down damn it, maybe later," James said calmly.
"No, I want it out of me now!" Jessie yelled.
"What in the middle of the main room where Duncan could come in at any time?" James asked.
"No, you could carry me in there!" Jessie yelled as she pointed at one of the bedroom doors.
"No offense but you are nine months pregnant and.." James said.
"And you've got no excuse, you're a Chosen Slayer for crying out loud! Are you man or a mouse?" Jessie yelled. She was about to continue yelling but James quickly started kissing her. She pushed him away from her, "what are you doing!?"
"Getting that kid out of you that's what!" James yelled back.
"Ok," Jessie said. They both started kissing again.
Duncan chose that moment to walk into the room with Kirsty. He pulled a disgusted face while Kirsty giggled just like her mum would do in her position. "Dad, can't you keep your hands off my mum when she's pregnant!" Duncan yelled.
James and Jessie quickly separated, blushing like mad. "Duncan, why are you here?" Jessie asked.
"Day off remember," Duncan replied, still looking rather disgusted.
"Hehe, I see my parents making out like that all the time," Kirsty giggled.
"Too much information," James muttered.
In: "Jones to Rex, Jessie where are you? I thought you were going to come to the night in."
"Ah crap, I had better plans than that," Jessie said.
"What time is it?" James asked.
In: "It's 1830 hours."
"That's ok then, I don't have to be on Voyager until 2100 hours," James said.
"Don't bother dad, I'm still drinking Cherry Coke which I'm going to need after seeing that," Duncan said. He went into one of the bedrooms, Kirsty just giggled and she ran after him.
"It'll give me something to do while you're at that night in," James said.
"God I really don't want to go, there's supposedly other pregnant girls there that I haven't even met before," Jessie said.
"Look on the bright side, at least O'Hara isn't alive to be there," James said.
Jessie stood up, "well at least I knew her." She went over to the door, she turned around at the last minute. "By the way, we'll continue tomorrow."
"Ah crap.. I mean oh good.. can't wait," James said. He looked rather nervous as Jessie glared at him evilly. She then left the room. James just sighed in relief afterwards.
hours, Chakotay's Quarters:
Chakotay answered the door, Kathryn stepped in. "Are you feeling any better Kathryn?"
"A little, thanks," Kathryn said. Chakotay even pulled a chair out for her to sit on. He sat opposite her at the small table.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Chakotay asked.
"No Chakotay, I just want to forget about it. Especially because you were one of the problems I got depressed about," Kathryn replied.
"Oh.. the divorce," Chakotay muttered.
"I got depressed when I thought that it may have been a really stupid idea," Kathryn said quietly.
"No it wasn't, we got married in a stupid way. I can understand why you wanted the divorce," Chakotay said.
"Yes that's true, but at least I married someone decent," Kathryn said. Chakotay reached over and placed his hand on hers.
hours, Cargo Bay 2:
Most of the girls at the night in were looking rather bored. Some were talking amongst themselves. Lena was standing nearby her old alcove, Tani was sitting nearby and Emma was standing next to her.
"I'm so glad Annika isn't still around, she was such a cow," Tani said.
"I think we're all glad, Tan.. but if she was around we wouldn't be in here," Lena said.
"I wish she was still around," Emma said. Tani and Lena stared at her in amazement. "I have no one to chase with a chain-saw now."
Tani and Lena laughed. "Yeah, I know what you mean," Lena said.
"How did she die anyway?" Emma asked.
"She jumped into a plasma fire, well actually she fell.. she was going to jump though," Lena replied.
"Cool!" Emma laughed.
"The most gruesome death you missed was where Thompson got his head chopped off," Lena said.
Emma's eyes widened, "cool! I wish I saw that!"
"What about Jessie's?" Tani asked.
"Oh yeah.." Lena muttered.
"She's still alive isn't she?" Emma asked, all confused.
"She is now yeah. Unu, her past life finished off the kiss of death with her. Jessie quickly decomposed after she died. James, Duncan, Tom, Craig and me witnessed that," Lena said.
"Cool!" Emma laughed again.
"Would you stop saying that, it wasn't cool," Lena muttered.
"Yeah especially when James went all evil," Tani said.
"What, how did that happen?" Emma asked.
Lena shook her head, "you tell her Tan, I'd rather not speak of that again."
"He's a Chosen Slayer, they turn evil when they lose someone they love or something. First he tried to kill his past life, then he tried to kill Janeway, he actually killed his dad," Tani said.
"I missed all this.. damn it!" Emma yelled.
"That's not the end of it either," Tani said.
Jessie and B'Elanna looked their way, then they turned back.
"Tell her another time Emma, I think she knows we're talking about her," Lena said.
"So, I take it it didn't work," Jessie said.
"No, I didn't even get a chance to find him. Jones called me when I was on my way. What about you?" B'Elanna asked.
"I did get to ask him actually," Jessie replied.
"Did he freak out?" B'Elanna asked jokingly.
"No, he just didn't like the sound of it. I just lost my temper with him, he obviously must of got sick of me yelling at him and he kissed me. Unfortunately Duncan and Kirsty came in and saw us," Jessie replied.
"Oh dear, at least he didn't come home late. He might of saw something else," B'Elanna said. Danny, who was standing nearby, laughed dirtily.
"Yeah, but there's plenty time for that," Danny said.
"Ugh.. Danny I wasn't talking to you," Jessie said.
"Well excuse me," Danny said sarcastically. She walked away.
Tani and Emma, meanwhile, started talking about something that I can't be bothered to think up. Lena turned towards Annika's old alcove. She saw a light flashing on it, but the alcove was switched off.
"Tan, Emma... get away from the alcove," Lena said.
"What for?" Tani asked.
"Just do it," Lena replied.
Tani stood up, she and Emma backed away from the alcove. Lena went over to the light, it was coming from a small black device. She took one look at it and she backed away. "Oh my god.." Suddenly whatever it was exploded!
Lena, Tani and Emma were thrown backwards. Luckily Tani and Emma weren't hurt, they got up quickly.
"What the hell was that?" Tani asked.
Triah rushed over holding a handy tricorder. "We can't stay in here, this room is filling with radiation. I don't know what that thing was but it looks like it was connected to a power conduit."
Tani and Emma went over to Lena who hadn't moved since the explosion. She was unconscious, she also had burns on her face and arms. Nikki rushed over, she checked her pulse.
"I think she's alive," Nikki said.
"Oh that's assuring, you're a really good nurse," Tani said sarcastically.
"Why thanks, Tani," Nikki grinned. Everyone groaned.
"Oh god..." Harry stuttered. All of the guys on the Bridge turned to him.
"What is it?" Tom, who was obviously in charge, asked.
"There was a small explosion in the Cargo Bay, it was right next to a power conduit. The room is filling with radiation," Harry replied.
"Beam everyone out of there!" Tom ordered.
"I can't, the explosion has caused a power overload. It won't be long before the whole power system.." Harry said. The lights suddenly went off, so did all the consoles. "short circuits and makes the whole ship useless."
"Crap.. what are we going to do?" James asked.
"I don't know, I can't even see," Tom replied angrily.
"Yeah well the girls in the Cargo Bay won't last long," Harry said.
"How long?" Tom asked.
"About two hours, at least," Harry replied.
"I guess we'll just have to wait for the Enterprise, they're our only hope," Tom said.
on the Enterprise Bridge:
The only people on the Bridge were Yasmin and Bryan. Yasmin was busy spinning on the helm chair and Bryan was busy pretending to be Captain.
"I'm Captain Paris of the Enterprise, tremble before me," Bryan said.
"Hehehehe, there's two of you," Yasmin laughed as the chair finally stopped.
"I wonder where everyone is?" Bryan asked.
"Who cares, we have the Bridge to ourselves!" Yasmin yelled. She fell off the chair.
"Hell yeh," Bryan said.
Will anyone on the Enterprise find out about Voyager? What caused the explosion in the Cargo Bay? Will the girls get out of the Cargo Bay in time? Where has the Fat Man been for the past two seasons? Will Harry ever get rid of Wobbuffet? And will Janeway and Chakotay get back together?
Find out the answers to most of these questions in the next installment of Fifth Voyager!
