The
Enterprise Ready Room:
Lena
was playing dominoes with those things that look like brighter,
smaller computer parts. The door chimed which of course made her
jump. All of the dominoes fell over leaving a very annoyed Lena. "What!?"
Kathryn strolled in sporting a new hairstyle that made her look 60, you know like in the last Voyager episode. Lena's mood changed as soon as she set her eyes on her mother. She burst out laughing.
"What on earth are you laughing at Lena?"
"Oh mum, you look like a real grandmother now," Lena laughed in response.
"How dare you!" Kathryn snapped.
"What were you thinking when you got your hair done like that?" Lena asked, still trying her best to calm down.
"Well I wanted my hair to look more natural, people have always joked about it being a wig and..." Kathryn replied. She was interrupted by Lena falling off the chair, laughing still.
Yasmin walked in, took one look at Kathryn and went straight back out. Lena noticed, which made her laugh louder.
"Lena! The original captain of this Enterprise would never be acting this way," Kathryn said sternly.
Lena finally calmed down, she climbed back onto her feet. "You're right. I could either be bedding a girl every episode, or shaving my hair off and being interested in exploring."
"The second one," Kathryn muttered.
"Right, that one sounds better," Lena said, sounding disgusted.
"Really? I'd hate to lose my gorgeous hair," Kathryn said.
Lena tried to keep a straight face, "mum, I just recovered. Oh crap, my face is probably all messed up with all the tears." She rushed into her bathroom, well I'm not sure if that Ready Room has one, it was rumoured too so there.
Kathryn put her hands on her hips, "she has a bathroom in her Ready Room! The nerve of it. When we get home I'm getting a bathroom fitted."
Lena came back out, "but mum. When we get back they'll think you're old enough to be admiral." She burst out laughing again, she rushed back into the bathroom.
"Like that'll ever happen," Kathryn grumbled, she stormed out.
Captains Personal Log Stardate who gives a f***ing crap what the date is: I've decided to make a vow, wooh so glad Craig isn't here. Anyway, my vow is that I'll not damage the ship like Picard and Riker did in the films. If anyone makes me break my vow, I will kill them... and Tom.
"Hey!" Tom's voice whined.
Well you're the first officer, it's nearly always their fault.
"I knew I shouldn't of accepted command like this," Tom grumbled.
Oh and my second vow is to make sure mum is admiral when we get home. End log.
"Um, why?" Tom asked.
"Because she looks old enough to be one," Lena replied.
"That's cruel... I like it," Jessie said.
"By the way, what was all that fuss before?" Tom asked.
"Er, what fuss?" Lena said questioningly.
"Well just last night James was in a hurry to get to Voyager, something about you and Craig," Tom said.
Lena glared at him, yet she still managed to turn red in embarrassment. "Just a misunderstanding."
"A misunderstanding, you two were.." Jessie started to say but Lena glanced at her.
"Don't even say it. I kept your secret, and never tried to kill you," Lena muttered.
"Aaah, I know what it is now," Tom said in a sly manner.
"You knew what it was anyway, didn't you?" Lena asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, I kinda got the jist of it. I mean why else would James be mad at Craig and you, hmm.." Tom replied.
"Is somebody going to let it slip or what?" Triah asked angrily.
"Go on then," Lena muttered. She collapsed onto the chair.
"I'll give you a clue Triah, you have a brother so it should be easy. Name reasons why a brother would be mad at a lad who is with the sister?" Tom asked.
"Um, he's trying to rape her, trying to kill her, trying to kiss her, actually kissing her, being a prat.." Triah muttered.
"You got it," Tom said.
"What, being a prat? Craig's naturally a prat, why would James be mad at him for that?" Triah said in confusment.
Tom groaned, so did Jessie. "Here's another clue, Lena was actually responding to what he was doing. And I don't mean she was beating him up," Jessie said.
Triah thought for a moment, she gasped in horror. "You made out with my brother! You dumped him though!"
"Yeah well, he deserved a second chance," Lena said quietly.
"Yeah and you can't use the old jealousy dumping tactic again either," Jessie said.
"It wasn't a tactic," Lena said.
"Lena honey, it would be less embarrassing if you said it was. My brother's a dork when it comes to women. At school he used to look up girls skirts, in the end all of the girls came to school in trousers," Triah said.
Everyone but Lena and Jessie laughed. "It's not funny, boys like him put me off skirts and dresses for life, and boys for about.." Jessie said.
"Ten seconds," Tom said under his breath. Jessie threw a tricorder at him. "Ow, I was only kidding. You didn't seem put off James that's all."
Jessie pulled a face, "yeah well he was the only one that didn't try to and/or pretend to try get off with me in Junior school."
"Boy, I never thought I'd hear that," Tom said in amazement.
"Wait a minute, did all the boys look up your skirt?" Triah asked.
Jessie blushed, "no.. the boys did it to the other girls who actually wore them. I didn't even dare to wear them cos of that."
"We're going off the Lena and Craig subject," Tom said in a sing song voice.
Lena rolled her eyes, "what else is there to say."
"I want to know what happened when James arrived," Tom said.
"Nothing happened, yeesh, grow up," Lena muttered.
"That's not true," Jessie said.
Lena glared at her, "what's the matter with you? You can't keep other people's secrets very well, yet you can keep some of yours more hidden."
"Well most of mine were embarrassing, yours isn't embarrassing to me," Jessie replied.
"Hmph, next time you're pregnant, I'm telling both ships," Lena grumbled.
"Next time!?" Jessie exclaimed in horror.
"Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits," Tom muttered under his breath. Along came another tricorder.
"Come on Jessie, tell us what happened," Triah said.
"I wasn't there the whole time, Lena should," Jessie said.
"Ok fine. Just I hope you know, I'm only doing this so we don't waste anymore of the episode on this conversation," Lena said.
The
previous night, right after Mars & Venus:
Lena
and Craig quickly separated at the sound of banging on the main
door. "Uhoh," Lena muttered.
"What do you mean by uhoh?" Craig asked nervously.
"Well who else could put dints in the door by angrily hitting on them?" Lena asked.
Craig panicked, "oh god. Why did I pick the girl with the defensive brother who was born to kick a**." He rushed over to the sofa, he hid behind it. Lena groaned.
"Whatever happened to the Craig in Games Matrix who stood up to him?" Lena asked.
"He had only kissed the Chosen Slayer's baby sister once then," Craig replied.
Lena rolled her eyes, she pulled Craig out from behind the sofa. "Why do you say the Chosen Slayer, like there's only him?"
"Er..." Craig stuttered in response. He thought about it for a few seconds, "what have I got myself into?"
"Don't worry, I can handle James no probs," Lena said. She went over to the door, Craig nervously followed her.
"Didn't he beat you once?" Craig asked.
"Yes once, yes I was distracted for a second by you if I recall," Lena muttered in response. She went to open the door, as she did Craig went behind her. The door opened, as it did James nearly fell straight through. "Hi James, what's up bro?" Lena asked.
"What's up?" Craig repeated nervously. He then ran back to hide behind the sofa. James started to follow him but Lena grabbed his arm.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Lena asked.
"What's wrong!? I look out of my own window and I see you and him.." James yelled. He got out of Lena's grip, then he ran over to Craig. Craig ran for his life.
Lena rolled her eyes, "I knew I should have moved the Enterprise." She watched the commotion in the room for a minute or so, then she lost her temper. "Ok, both of you just stop now!"
"I would, but he'd kill me!" Craig yelled back while still running circles around the room.
"What the hell do you see in him?" James asked, as he stood near Lena.
"Craig, come out of there," Lena said.
Craig peeped out of the nearby doors. "Why?"
"That was quick," Lena muttered.
"Fine, stay in there. I'll just get you later," James said.
"Uh, can you tell me when that is?" Craig asked nervously. He disappeared into the room again.
"For crying out loud! Craig stop being a wuss, and James stop being so overprotective," Lena said angrily.
"What the hell is the matter with you Lena? You dumped him because he didn't trust you. What's changed?" James asked.
"Well, the guy who he was jealous of is kinda my brother now. I don't think that's going to be a problem," Lena replied.
"Yeah but he might get jealous about somebody else very easily," James said.
"So says the guy who's fiancée gets jealous more than Craig ever did," Lena muttered.
"Hey, this is different!" James yelled.
Craig quietly came out of his hiding place, looking a tiny little bit braver than before. "Didn't we go over this? This isn't different, I'm in love with Lena just like you are with Jessie."
"Yeah right," James muttered.
"Actually it is different, Lena's my first and it was at first sight too," Craig said.
"Is it just me, or is either you feeling ill?" Lena meekly asked.
"Jessie was my first, but I think I have an excuse about the at first sight thing. We were only four when we met," James said.
"Who cares. The point is I love Lena, and I'll not hurt her. I promise," Craig said.
"Like you could hurt me," Lena muttered.
"I mean the feelings way," Craig said quietly.
"Here's another point. You think you love her, does Lena love you?" James asked.
Craig glanced at Lena looking worried.
"No, but I bet you and Jessie weren't in love when you first went out with each other," Lena replied quickly.
"Actually we were, we just didn't know it," James said.
"If you didn't know it, then you mustn't of been," Lena said.
"What would you know about that, Lena?" James asked.
Lena rolled her eyes. "Hey, I'll say anything to defend myself." Craig glanced at her again looking pathetic. "And him too."
"Yeah well, in Lena's defence, you don't have to be in love to go out with someone," Craig said.
"Why didn't I say that?" Lena asked herself.
"That's true but.." James started to say.
"Look, I'm not going to make the same mistake again. I promise I'll take care of her," Craig said. Lena cleared her throat. "And she'll take care of me," he said quietly.
"Fine. But if you do hurt her, I'll kill you," James said.
Craig laughed, but he stopped when both James and Lena glanced at him. "Oh, he's serious," he stuttered.
"Yep," James said.
Jessie rushed in, "I didn't miss anything did I?"
"Yeah, you missed the whole thing," Lena replied.
"Oh well, no one's hurt and or dead. That's good," Jessie said.
"If you say so," James muttered. He walked out.
Craig's eyes widened, "he really wants me dead doesn't he?"
"Well judging by the reaction in our quarters, most probably," Jessie replied.
"Well this is going to be fun, anyone want a drink?" Lena asked.
"No thanks, I'd better go and get him out of that nasty mood," Jessie replied.
"Speaking of that, how did you fall in love with him anyway?" Craig asked. Lena smacked his arm, hard.
Jessie walked out after giving Craig a funny look.
The
present:
"Is
that it? I was expecting a fight or something," Tom said.
"And I was expecting the story to be short," Bryan yawned.
"Bryan, are you flying the ship?" Lena asked nervously.
"I was until you started telling the story," Bryan replied. Everyone turned to glare at him. "Oh right," he muttered. He turned around, and like everyone else, he could see nothing but black on the viewscreen.
"Isn't it a bit early for the Void?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah it is, this isn't it," Tom replied.
"The what?" Lena asked.
"A large area of space that has no stars. In a few years we'll be back there," Tom replied.
"If it isn't the Void, what is it?" Jessie asked.
Triah worked at her console, "we're in a very dark nebula. There is no nearby star to lighten up the gas, or whatever."
"Gas, whatever, stars? Does the writers know anything about nebulas?" Tom asked.
"Nope, but then again neither do I," Lena replied.
"Great, so we're going into one of those episodes that don't make any sense," Tom said.
"You can say that again, we can't get out," Bryan said..
"Bryan, you have to press the engage button," Tom said.
"I did, we can't move. Something's holding us here, but I don't know what," Bryan said.
Tom went over to his side, he looked at the console.
"Are you sure it isn't the ship? It has a habit of just staying still, or going the same direction when it's supposed to be doing evasive manoeuvres," Lena said.
The helm guy from Star Trek Nemesis marched onto the Bridge. "Yes it was the ship, it wasn't me playing any games on duty. Wait.. why am I even here?"
"Um, didn't he get blown into space?" Tom asked.
"Cargo Bay doors and Transporters on standby," Triah replied quietly.
"This is getting dumb. I'll be in my Ready Room. Tom, you contact Voyager. Maybe they know what's going on," Lena said. She went into the Ready Room.
"Erm, yes sir," Tom muttered.
Everyone looked rather nervous. "The Enterprise is left with a first officer in charge, we're dead," Triah said.
"Don't be stupid. We all know that Lena's the one who crashes ships and nearly blows them up, not me," Tom said. Everyone silently agreed.
The
Ready Room, a little while
later:
Lena
was sitting at the desk looking really bored. She heard what sounded
like footsteps nearby. Then she turned around to see a kid she'd
never seen before playing with the Enterprise E model.
"Ohno, what are you doing? That's a voodoo ship!" Lena yelled.
"Voodoo, cool name," the kid giggled. He made the model ship fly side to side, and then upside down. As he did the ship itself did the same making Lena fall against the desk.
"Ok, stop playing with that. There's much better places to play, like the holodeck," Lena said calmly.
"Nah, this is fun," the kid giggled. He ran over to the sofa chairs, he made the model ship fly close to it.
"Ohno, keep the ship away from everything," Lena said in a panicky voice.
"Ohno, too late. All hands brace for impact!" the kid yelled.
Lena's eyes widened, she tapped her commbadge. "Brace for impact, unknown crewmembers get away from all consoles."
As soon as the kid made the model ship crash on the sofa, the ship jerked violently.
Meanwhile
on Voyager:
"What
the hell is going on in that nebula?" Kathryn asked.
"I don't know, but a planet has just appeared out of nowhere. The Enterprise has just crashed there," Harry replied.
"That's what we get for letting Bryan fly it," Kathryn said.
"That's what we get for letting Lena command the damn thing," Chakotay said.
Back
on the Enterprise:
Lena
woke up nearby the desk and lots of debris. She pulled herself to
her feet, the first thing she did was look out of the window. The
window was smashed, yet it was still pitch black outside. She rushed
over to the door, after pulling it open she went onto the Bridge.
Bryan was at the helm looking really scared. "I'm sorry Lena," he stuttered.
"For crying out loud, I thought I dreamt the ship crashing. I wasn't expecting it to really do that!" Lena yelled.
"Bryan, what happened?" Tom asked.
"I dunno, the helm went crazy. I couldn't do anything to stop it," Bryan replied.
Lena sighed. "Where did that planet come from?"
"It must of been there all along, it is pitch black after all," Tom replied.
"Fine, damage report," Lena said.
Triah brushed all the debris off the helm console. "We had an easy landing than expected, the lower two decks have lost life support. Oh and the sections at the front of the ship are seriously damaged, life support is holding," Triah said.
"The front of the ship! Ohno, I forgot mum told me to avoid damaging the front of the ship," Lena panicked.
"What, why?" Tom asked.
There was a huge thud which made the entire ship shake. "That's why," Lena replied.
"What the.. what happened?" Tom asked.
Triah's eyes widened, "the front of the ship's just fell off!"
"How the hell did that happen? We didn't crash that badly," Tom asked.
"Oh just some idiot decided to ram the ship into another," Lena replied.
"Lena, ramming the ship isn't the answer to life's problems," Tom said. Lena smacked him.
"Not me you idiot, the previous captain," she said.
"Was there anybody on the snapped off bit?" Jessie asked.
"Yep, but they should be ok. It's just the ones who were in the quarters that snapped in half," Triah replied nervously.
Meanwhile:
Some
guy climbed onto the deck. He looked down at what was left of his
quarters. "I was wondering why these quarters were so cheap..."
Meanwhile some other guy was running around in circles panicking nearby. "Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap... my quarters are ruined.. oh crap, oh crap!" What he didn't realise was that his circles were going a bit off, he then slipped off the edge. He fell onto the planet surface after quite a fall. When he landed he continued to run around in circles.
Later,
Engineering:
Tom
and Jessie came in, they went over to Tani straight away.
"Well?" Tom said questioningly.
"Warp drives back online, we'll be able to take off soon. The planet was actually a soft landing compared to the previous Enterprise's landing," Tani replied.
"How do you know, you weren't around then, right?" Jessie asked.
"Forget it," Tani muttered.
"Besides, it wasn't where the ship landed. That ship was way too big and badly designed anyway," Tom said.
"What and you think the current warp drives aren't too big? It took my staff hours to get those things fixed," Tani said.
Emma passed by with armfuls of Cherry Coke. "They're good places to hide the Cherry Coke too."
Everyone glanced at her looking confused. "Er, how?" Jessie asked.
"I'm not telling you, you'll find them," Emma replied.
"Um, you will tell us when we can take off right?" Tom asked.
"Sure, just one thing though?" Tani replied.
"What?" Tom said.
"What about the front of the ship?" Tani asked.
"That's already getting fixed, it's amazing what materials super glue can stick together," Tom said.
"Seriously, you're using super glue?" Jessie asked.
"No, it was a joke," Tom replied sarcastically.
"I'd better inform Lena to keep that section of the ship closed.. permanently," Jessie said. She walked out.
"I'd better go too, keep me informed," Tom said. He walked out as well.
Tani shrugged, she turned to Faye who had her back to her. "Faye, can you reactivate the warp core?" Faye ignored her. "FAYE!"
Faye turned around looking annoyed, "shhh. I'm at a funeral!"
Tani and Emma glanced at each other. Then it suddenly hit them. "Ohno, your quarters were at the front of the ship. How many did you lose?" Emma asked.
Faye started to cry, "twenty." She put her arms around the rest of her Puppy In My Pockets, and continued to sob.
"Faye, can you just reactivate the core?" Tani asked. She walked away.
Faye wiped her face, she pushed one of the buttons. "Ooops, wrong button," she said. Just then a shield went around the warp core.
"It's about bloody time too! That thing worries me," Tani said.
"Why?" Emma asked.
"It says Warp Core 3 on it, what happened to the other two?" Tani replied.
Emma shrugged, "which button did you press?"
"The one that says 'useless fancy effect number 22'," Faye replied.
"What's that supposed to mean? It's only a shield," Tani asked.
The second guy from the previous scene came running in panicking again. He tripped over his own feet, and dropped a tricorder. It rolled over to the shield, it briefly touched it causing it to spark and go off.
"Well that's a strong shield," Tani said sarcastically.
"No wonder it's just a special effect," Emma muttered.
"We're doomed, we're doomed! Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!" the guy panicked as he ran around in circles.
"Would you stop that!" Tani yelled.
The crewmember ignored her, he continued what he was doing.
"How long do you think this redshirt will last?" Tani asked.
"Hopefully not long," Emma muttered in response.
"Aaargh, red shirt, I'm doomed! Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!" the guy yelled. He ran faster.
"Well at least the shield can be used for fancy effects in a party. It would be cool," Faye said.
"I guess so, but that core won't last long. This is the third yet this ship is really young. Where did it get all the other warp cores from?" Tani asked.
Emma looked nervous, "I'll look around. I might find where they're kept." She ran out.
"Something tells me she hides Cherry Coke there too," Tani said.
End
of Part I
Voyager,
Conference Room:
The
Voyager main cast were all at the table, well not exactly. B'Elanna
and Harry were at the wall computer.
"The Enterprise accidentally slipped into what looks like a energy barrier. Ships can get through the barrier, but only to get in," B'Elanna said.
"So how on earth do we get them out?" Kathryn asked.
"They can't get themselves out of there, but we have an advantage now... there's two ships instead of just one. We'd be stuck if there was just Voyager again," Harry said.
"What he's saying is it may be possible for us to pop the bubble from the outside," B'Elanna replied.
"How though?" Chakotay asked.
"We haven't worked that bit out yet," Harry muttered.
"Why am I not surprised?" Naomi said sarcastically.
"Well get on it, it seems like having the Enterprise on it's own is a death sentence for it's crew," Kathryn said.
"Yeah, where did that planet come from?" Ian asked.
"The only thing I can think of is that it was well hidden in the darkness," Harry replied.
"Must of been very well hidden, the sensors should have spotted it," Claire said.
"That's not really a concern, our top priority is to get the Enterprise out of that bubble. Dismissed," Kathryn said.
The
Enterprise, James/Jessie's Quarters:
"But
why not?" Lena asked.
"I dunno, maybe I'm so used to keeping my own secrets that I've forgotten how to keep other peoples," Jessie replied.
"You do keep too many secrets. For all I know you're a mass murderer," Lena said.
"I'm getting there, just call me a serial one for now," Jessie said.
Lena shook her head, "I don't know if I can trust you with a new one. I've been wanting to talk to someone about it."
"Well if it's a secret, then don't tell me it," Jessie said.
"Reverse psychology won't work," Lena muttered.
"No no, I'm not doing that," Jessie said.
"Yeah yeah, just forget about it. It was probably not what it looked like anyway," Lena said.
"Ok, now I'm curious," Jessie said.
"Well I can't tell you until I can trust you," Lena said as she stood up.
"No it's ok Lena. You'll crack one day, you'll tell James then he'll tell me," Jessie said slyly.
"So that's your plan then? Well I'm not falling for it, I'll tell someone else," Lena said.
"Good luck," Jessie said as she stood up too.
"You too," Lena muttered. She left the room.
Jessie went towards the nearby door, she went through it and entered the kids room.
Duncan was sitting on his own bed hugging one of Sasha's toys, while looking out of the window. He saw Jessie and he quickly threw the toy away.
"I wasn't playing with Sasha's girly toys, honest!" Duncan yelled.
"Yeah whatever. Shouldn't you be asleep?" Jessie asked.
"I can't..." Duncan muttered.
"Why not?" Jessie groaned.
"That window creeps me out. We're on a dark planet, some thing might jump up at the window," Duncan replied.
"If I replicate some curtains will you try to go to sleep?" Jessie asked.
Duncan glanced out at the window again. "Yeah, promise."
"Fine," Jessie said. She walked back out of the room. As she did the lights dimmed, then they went off completely. She tapped her commbadge. "Rex to Bridge, the writers are trying to pull the old switch lights off to get me injured thing."
She didn't get a response, of course. What does she expect? "Well of course not, I can never contact anyone when this happens," Jessie muttered. She turned around to head for the door but something hit her in the head. She fell to the ground, unconscious.
A
little while later:
Duncan
woke up to the sound of Sasha crying VERY loudly. He groaned as he
sat up. "Would you shut the hell up, god!" That just made
Sasha cry even louder. Then he heard a familiar scream. He quickly
jumped out of bed and rushed to the door.
When he got through the door he saw a dark figure standing over Jessie, who was still unconscious. Duncan picked up a nearby empty bottle of Cherry Coke. "Get the hell off my mother you b***ard!" He threw the bottle but the guy just disappeared.
Duncan then ran over to the nearby computer console, he pressed a few of the buttons. "Duncan to Sickbay, my mum's hurt," he said quickly.
In: "Transporters are not working right now, I'm on my way."
Duncan pressed more of the buttons, "Duncan to dad.. er Stuart."
In: "What's up Duncan, shouldn't you be in bed?"
"I don't care, mum was attacked. I called Sickbay," Duncan said angrily.
In: "Attacked, by who?"
"I dunno, he just disappeared," Duncan replied.
In: "Ok, I'm coming. I'm not far away."
Duncan went back over to Jessie, he knelt down next to her. He shook her to try and wake her up, but she didn't.
Freddie and Nikki rushed into the room, Freddie was still smoking a tab as well. "What happened young man?" Freddie asked.
"She was attacked you bozo head, just treat her," Duncan said angrily.
Freddie scanned her with one of the new tricorders. "She's got a massive concussion. We have to get her to Sickbay."
James arrived on the scene, he went over to Jessie, Freddie, Nikki and Duncan.
"Trouble is transporters weren't one of the priorities," Nikki said.
"We'll have to make it one won't we," James said. He tapped his commbadge, "Stuart to Janeway."
In: "Yeah?"
"Lena, we need the transporters, get them fixed quickly," James said.
In: "Why, what's happened?"
"Just get them fixed, I'll tell you later," James replied.
The
Bridge:
Lena
turned to Triah, "you heard him."
"Um, right," Triah said. She continued to work at her station.
"How long until you get them fixed?" Lena asked.
"Not long.." Triah replied as she worked. She turned back to Lena. "Done."
In: "Beam us all to Sickbay, Stuart out."
"That's it, I'm going to find out what's going on," Lena said as she headed towards the turbolift.
"Ohno, don't leave Tom in charge again!" everyone but Tom screamed. Lena gave everyone a funny look before heading out. Tom just glanced around at everyone with a huge pout on his face.
Voyager,
the Bridge:
"Captain,
the deflector is ready," Harry said.
Kathryn laughed, "yeah ok Harry poo."
"Uh.. Chakotay, the deflector is ready," Harry said nervously.
Chakotay stopped putting suicide pills in his cup of tea, he looked up. "I'm busy!"
"Fine, I'll fire it myself," Harry muttered. He keyed in some commands.
Enterprise
Sickbay:
Freddie
was scanning Jessie again, while Nikki and James just stood nearby
when Lena came in.
"Well, what happened?" Lena asked.
James briefly turned to Lena, "she was attacked."
"What, by who?" Lena asked.
"We don't know, she hasn't woke up yet. Duncan said it was too dark to see the guy," James replied.
"Ah, so we know it's a guy then," Lena said.
"Um no, I just guessed," James said.
Lena rolled her eyes, "fine."
Freddie turned to everyone, he took the tab out of his mouth. "It isn't good, she didn't just suffer a blow to the head."
"What else is there?" Lena asked.
"As far as I can tell she was awake during her attack, she's incredibly traumatised," Freddie replied.
"How do you know, she's asleep?" Nikki asked. Everyone turned to stare at her.
"You can tell by just scanning her," Freddie muttered.
"Oh.. I know that. I was just testing you," Nikki said nervously.
"But, she wasn't awake doc," Lena said. Everyone turned to stare at her instead. "I can sense it, she was unconscious through the whole thing."
"So what is there to be traumatised about?" Nikki asked.
Lena stood in silence for a while, "oh no. James, can I talk to you for a sec."
James looked confused, "what for?"
"You'll see," Lena said as she headed for Freddie's office. James followed her. "You're not going to like it, but you have to know."
"Uh, know what? What are you talking about?" James asked.
"I know why Jessie is so traumatised," Lena replied.
"You do?" James said questioningly.
"He did more than just knock her out, she dreamed a full on beating," Lena said.
"What? How do you know?" James asked.
"Duh, I'm telepathic remember," Lena replied.
"Yeah I know, but I didn't think you could do that," James said.
"Oh but I can, that's not all though," Lena said.
"Why do I get the feeling I'm really going to hate this bit?" James asked.
"Because you are.. Um James, you know that the Enterprise crashed right?" Lena said nervously.
"No, I didn't," James said sarcastically.
"Well I dreamt before the crash that a kid was playing with an Enterprise voodoo model. He made it crash, then the ship did. I woke up and the ship had really crashed, a planet had appeared out of nowhere," Lena said.
"Lena, what's this got to do with Jessie?" James asked.
"It seems like our dreams actually are reality while we're inside this nebula. Jessie wouldn't be this traumatised if the dream she had was just a dream. I think it actually happened," Lena replied.
"You... you're not serious are you?" James stuttered.
"No, I am serious. Explain why the guy disappeared when Duncan arrived in the room. Explain how he disappeared at all, when there was no transporters," Lena said.
"Is there a chance that she could of only dreamed it?" James asked.
"Yeah but I know it really did happen, she wouldn't be this traumatised believe me," Lena said. James stood in thought for a while, he left the room. "Maybe I should have told it in a better way," she said to herself.
The
Mess Hall:
The
room was surprisingly quiet, all that could be heard was Phoebe's
snoring. Suddenly some armed army guys burst into the room holding
all of the coffee supplies.
"Oh thank god," somebody muttered.
Phoebe jolted up, but she was still asleep. She went over to the kitchen and she stole a large knife.
"Oh look here, it's the younger Janeway. Stand back, the coffee is a hostage!" one of the guys yelled.
"I'd sooner die than let the coffee go with you," Phoebe said boldly.
"That can be arranged," one of the guys said. He pulled out a large knife, he and Phoebe started fighting while everyone watched looking nervous.
"I really should stop mixing Cherry Coke with Whiskey," one guy said.
The annoying crewmember suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started to run around in circles. "The coffee, it's being abducted. Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!"
"That's it, I'm going to Sickbay," Sandi muttered. She walked out of the room.
Phoebe eventually won the fight, "right. You will give back the coffee, and never show your coffee hating faces here again."
"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry," one of the guys stuttered. The army people rushed out of the room, leaving the coffee.
"So you should," Phoebe muttered, then she collapsed. When she did the coffee and the knives disappeared. Phoebe then woke up. "Oh, what a nice dream," she said happily. She left the room.
Lena's
Readyroom:
Lena
was sitting at her desk, Craig stood nearby, Freddie was on the
computer screen.
"I'm afraid if we wake her up we may risk a nervous break down," Freddie was saying.
"For a tough girl she's very fragile isn't she," Craig muttered. Lena glanced up at him oddly.
"If I was in her position I'd be traumatised too," Lena said.
"Yes well, the only way we can wake her up safely is to erase her memory of what happened," Freddie said.
"Is it safe to do that?" Lena asked.
"Well it is for a brilliant doctor like me," Freddie said, he took a swig of his holographic cigarette.
"Hmm.. yeah," Craig muttered.
"You'd better do it doc, and I think you should do it to James too. I haven't seen him since I told him," Lena said.
"He's probably trying not to turn evil, hell I'd be angry if you got beaten up," Craig said.
In: "Paris to Lena, we're ready to take off."
"I'm on my way, and for the love of god please don't let me find Bryan at the helm," Lena said as she stood up. She and Craig left the Ready Room.
"See, he's not at the helm," Tom said. He was standing nearby the helm, Lena looked around and she saw Bryan there.
"I think he is. Tom, you drive. I don't trust Bryan near any planets. Remember the first time he drove?" Lena asked. She sat down in her chair.
"Yeah I do but if you think he's that bad why did you let him be the pilot?" Tom asked.
"I didn't! That you can blame Janeway for! Now get this ship off this stupid planet," Lena replied.
"Er, yes ma'am," Tom said as he took Bryan's place.
"Didn't you leave Freddie on your computer?" Craig asked.
"Ah son of a..." Lena groaned.
"Don't insult my mother," Triah said.
"She wasn't your mother, Triah," Craig muttered.
"I know, step mum then," Triah groaned.
"We're up, no problem," Tom said smugly.
"Good, let's get out of this damn nebula," Lena said. Just then the lights went off. "Oh for f***ing sake!"
"It's ok, consoles are still working," Triah said. She fiddled with the console, "it seems like the only things that are not working are the lights."
"What's going on?" Tom asked.
"Intruder alert, decks 5 to 12. Finally a line," Kevin said.
Lena rolled her eyes as she stood up, "he's complaining already, how many episodes has he been in?"
"Cut him some slack, I have already passed my amount of lines that I got in the last season," Triah said.
"You keep count, gee that's sad," Tom said.
"I was only guessing!" Triah yelled.
"Um, intruders?" Kevin said questioningly.
"Right, send security to all of those decks. When they're there seal off those decks," Lena said.
"But what about the security team?" Kevin asked.
"Shut up, I know what I'm doing!" Lena yelled.
"No, Craig and I are on that team," Kevin said.
"Oh right, fine go," Lena ordered.
"Um, are you not going to tell me to be careful?" Craig asked jokingly.
"Whatever, get going," Lena muttered.
Craig and Kevin headed towards the turbolift doors. The annoying crewmember took Kevin's place at tactical. Everyone glanced at each other looking worried.
Deck
Six:
Kevin,
Craig and their team were wandering down the corridor with the usual
big guns. Everything was creepily quiet.
Everyone in the team jumped a mile when Yasmin appeared from around the corner holding a knife. "Ha, die vampires!" Yasmin yelled as she jumped onto Kevin. He pushed her off looking annoyed.
"I'm not a vampire you stupid girl!" Kevin yelled.
"They all say that," Yasmin said as she stood up.
"Yasmin, there are no vampires on the ship," Craig said as he helped Kevin to his feet.
"Uh, yes there is. They're so easy to kill," Yasmin giggled.
"Are you sure they were vampires?" Craig asked nervously.
"Oh yeah, one tried to bite my neck. I sure showed him," Yasmin said as she grinned.
Kevin and Craig glanced at each other. "This must be someone else's dream right? There's no such thing as vampires," Kevin said.
"No, there is. We had vampires on the ship before," Craig said.
"Gee, you guys have had everything," Kevin said.
"I'm bored, I'm going to kill more dead guys!" Yasmin yelled before running off.
"You know, if I wasn't in this series since the first episode I'd think that sounded wrong," Craig said.
Meanwhile:
Lena
was wandering around looking really annoyed, "where has that
stupid girl gone now."
She heard somebody run passed her, but she didn't see anybody. Lena raised her rifle. Suddenly a group of vampires jumped out in front of her. She shuddered uncontrollably.
"Why do you guys have to be dead?" Lena asked.
"Duh, we're vampires," vampire 1 replied.
"Well I never. You're on my ship, so I'm just going to have to kill you," Lena said.
"Don't Starfleet Captains prefer negotiating?" vampire 2 asked.
Lena pushed the rifle forward, it stabbed vampire 2 in the heart. He disappeared. "Who said anything about me being part of Starfleet."
More vampires arrived on the scene, a few appeared behind her and caught her by surprise. A large group of the vampires held her back, while one just watched her like a piece of meat.
"Slayers blood is more tasty, I'm going to enjoy this," vampire 1 said. Lena struggled against all of the vampires, but there was too many of them. Vampire 1 sunk his teeth into her neck then it went all dark.
"Lena? Lena!" Craig's voice yelled over the darkness.
Lena woke up to see Craig and Kevin hovering over her. "What the.. where did you come from?"
"Just around the corner, a load of vampires attacked you," Kevin replied.
"Looks like one bit you, we'd better get you to Sickbay," Craig said as he helped Lena to her feet.
Lena looked around, "the lights are back on."
"Yeah, and the vampires have gone. They disappeared when we came around the corner," Craig said.
"It must of been my dream then," Lena said.
"But, you were awake the whole time. How is that possible?" Kevin asked.
"I dunno, but it may have something to do with me being telepathic.. Oh god, I've got it," Lena said loudly. She rushed off down the corridor.
"Hasn't she lost some blood?" Kevin asked.
"Er, yes," Craig stuttered. Right on cue they both heard a thud nearby. They both turned to where Lena was lying unconscious.
Kevin tapped his commbadge, "Clarke to Sickbay, three to beam or whatever." Craig shook his head. "Hey, I prefer mobiles," Kevin said.
Conference
Room:
All
of the Enterprise main cast, not including Jessie, James and all the
kids, were at the table.
Lena kept rubbing her neck as she spoke. "I think it must be some sort of alien telepathy at work. They turn our dreams into reality, am I the only one who thinks we should get out of here before bed time?"
Everyone looked around, looking nervous. Well Yasmin didn't anyway. "You should see my dreams, there's lots of people to kill there," Yasmin giggled.
"I think it would be a good idea to leave before Yasmin goes to sleep," Tom said.
"Yeah. Voyager doesn't seem to be in the nebula so maybe they're trying to get us out. Just in case, is there anyway for us to get out of this nebula?" Lena asked.
"There's nothing we can do on the inside. We're stuck inside a bubble, the only way out is to make an opening. Trouble is nothing can penetrate it from the inside," Tani said.
"So we're stuck here, let's hope Voyager will get us out soon," Craig said.
Voyager:
"So,
you want to go out with me tonight?" Kathryn asked. Chakotay
didn't reply, he just collapsed.
"It's working, an opening is forming," Harry said.
"Good, I really want to get off this long emergency duty shift," Ian said.
"Moan moan moan," Claire muttered.
"What's the point?" Harry groaned. He continued to work.
The
Enterprise:
Everyone
rushed out of the Conference Room, the ones who had places took
their um places.
"What is it?" Lena asked.
"An opening is forming in the bubble. We can leave this damn place," Tom replied.
"Finally, take us out. Please," Lena ordered.
"Aye Captain," Tom said.
The
next day, Janeway's Ready Room:
"So
it was like some alien entity was doing it. But why?" Kathryn asked.
"I don't know. Maybe it wanted to have some fun, or maybe it's a psycho like Yasmin," Lena replied.
"I heard about Jessie though, has the investigation uncovered anything?" Kathryn asked.
"Yeah, the guy who attacked her was part of a dream so he wasn't real. If he's not real, he can't be punished," Lena replied.
"So, what's going to happen then?" Kathryn asked.
"Jessie's already had her memory erased, it was the only thing we could do for her. Duncan is still none of the wiser. We'll leave it at that," Lena replied.
"I see, what about James?" Kathryn asked.
"Oh crap, James. No one's seen him since I told him about the attack!" Lena stuttered.
"Don't worry, he knows better than that now. He knows killing only makes him worse. He's probably somewhere trying to calm down.." Kathryn said.
In: "Kim to Janeway. You'd better come up here."
Kathryn and Lena left the Ready Room. They went over to Harry who was standing at the Tactical station with Ian.
"Somebody has reported another attack. It's Craig this time," Harry said.
"But we've left the nebula, it can't be another dream," Lena said.
"Is he alright?" Kathryn asked.
"He's in Sickbay, but he'll live," Harry said.
"Who the hell did this?" Kathryn asked angrily.
"Oh crap, oh crap, there's a killer on board, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!" the annoying crewmember screamed as he ran around in circles.
"And why didn't he or she kill that guy!" Kathryn yelled.
James came on to the Bridge, everyone turned to him.. they all groaned. "What? Oh f**k you."
The annoying crewmember saw him and he ran faster than before. "An evil Slayer, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!"
"It's the end of the episode, what's the point in doing this now?" Lena asked angrily.
James went over to the annoying crewmember, he stabbed him. Everyone sighed in relief when the annoying sound of the crewmember stopped.
"Ah, that's why," Lena sighed.
"Er excuse me, James is evil again. What are we going to do?" Ian asked.
"Let him kill off more annoying crewmembers?" Claire replied.
"Wait a minute, James did you kill Craig?" Lena asked.
"Yeah so what. I needed to kill someone. See ya," James replied. He walked out.
"Oh for god's sake, Jessie has no idea what happened to her so she'll have no idea why he's evil," Lena said.
"Well um, who cares that's the next episode. Worry about it then," Kathryn said as she sat down. She kicked back in her chair, everyone who had chairs did the same.
Lena shrugged, "wasn't there a rule about talking like actors? Oh well." She walked out.
Suddenly the annoying crewmember came back to life and started to run around in circles again. "Oh crap, oh crap, I'm dead, oh crap, oh crap!"
"Damn those annoying writers, right Chakotay," Kathryn grumbled. Chakotay didn't answer, he was STILL dead in his chair. "Hmm, he's been very quiet today, I wonder why."

Will
anyone notice Chakotay's actually dead? Did James just turn evil at
the end so we could kill off that annoying crewmember? What did the
alien entity actually want? What is the point of that warp core
shield? Then again, what's the point in the Enterprise having shields
anyway? It has Riker bad luck all over it. How did Emma hide her
Cherry Coke in the warp drives?
